C. Nelson Brown (3-15-12)

COMMERCE – C. Nelson Brown died late Thursday evening, March 15, 2012, at his residence.

Born in Commerce, he was the son of the late Garnett and Willie Mae Crane Brown. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his wife, Vicky Gunter Brown; and two brothers, Buck Brown and Jr. Brown.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Darina and William R. “Bill” Boleman, Hartwell; grandchildren, Lanae Boleman and Gevin Boleman; and sisters, Edna Gooch and Vera Lockman, both of Commerce, and Linda Brown, Nicholson.

Funeral services were held Sunday, March 18, from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry Smith officiating. Burial was in the Jackson Memorial Gardens.

Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.
