Betty Smith (3-11-12)

WINDER – Betty T. Smith, 76, died Sunday, March 11, 2012.

Born in Jefferson, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Ina Marlow Turner. She was a member of the Bethlehem United Methodist Church and the Wesleyan Fellowship School Class. She retired from Peskins Department Store.

Survivors include her husband, H. Joe Smith, Winder; sons, David (Tina) Smith and Mike (Vickie) Smith, all of Winder; a daughter, Tammy (Davy) Brown, Winder; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lucy Hammond, Winder.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 13, at 2 p.m., at the Bethlehem First Methodist Church with the Rev. Parker Benson and Mike Peavy officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, March 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
