WINDER - Bertha Mae Dangar, 93, died Friday, March 9, 2012.
A Barrow County native, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Lissie Whitehead Elder. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman C. Dangar; and children, Laverne Shedd and Mary Ann Siple. Mrs. Dangar was a retiree of Macy's Department Store.
Survivors include daughters, Vivian Healan, Hoschton, and Jean Shoemaker, Winder; son, Charles Dangar, Winder; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, March 11, from the chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Joe Watkins, Kenneth Fogarty and Denise Smith officiating. Interment was in the College Park Cemetery.
Carter Funeral Home of Winder was in charge of arrangements.
