Mary Puckett (3-5-12)

JEFFERSON – Mary L. Puckett, 86, formerly of Norcross, died Monday, March 5, 2012.

Mrs. Puckett was preceded in death by her husband, J.N. Puckett. For many years she and her husband operated the DeKalb County Cannery. She has lived in Norcross, Lavonia and Jefferson.

Survivors include children, Annie Ruth and Cecil Reeves, Monroe, Allene and Gary Whaley, Nicholson, Clifford and Sue Puckett, Winder, Linda and Bob Sullivan, Ellijay, and Bobby and Gloria Gray, Vero Beach, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 7, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with the Rev. Herb Snedden officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday afternoon in the Peachtree Memorial Park in Norcross. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
