Donnie Wayne Hewell (3-5-12)

HULL - Donnie Wayne Hewell, 56, died Monday, March 5, 2012.

Born in Athens, he was the son of the late James Frank and Louise Fowler Hewell. Mr. Hewell was preceded in death by brothers, Franklin, Dean and Darwin Hewell. Donnie had worked for North East Sales and Pilgrim's Pride. He was a member of Faith Pentecostal Church and an avid hunter and fisherman.

Survivors include his wife, Freda Burgess Hewell; daughters, Tammy Carver, Danielsville, Donna Taylor, Oglethorpe; brothers, Ricky Hewell and Jeffery Hewell, Sr.; sisters, Patsy Albert and Marie Noel; and grandchildren, Ashley Dellinger, Amber Dellinger, Destinie Taylor, Brian Dellinger, Jr., Breanna Taylor and Emily Carver.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 8, at 2 p.m. at Lord & Stephens East Chapel with the Rev. Billy Fowler officiating. Burial will follow at Athens Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Tyrone Taylor, Paul Prince, Doug Carver, Jeffery Hewell Jr., Preston Booth, Chris McClain and Jeffery Hewell, Sr. The family will receive friends, Wednesday, March 7, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
