Matilda Wood (3-2-12)

HOMER – Matilda L. Wood, 80, died Friday, March 2, 2012, at the Northeast Atlanta Health and Rehab.

Born in Rhode Island, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Gertrude Dietel Ormsbee . Mrs. Wood was preceded in death by her husband, J.T. Wood; and a son, John Wood.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda Mason, Atlanta; siblings, Violet Parks, California, Harold Ormsbee, Ralph Ormsbee and Elmer Ormsbee, all of Florida; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, March 10, at noon, from the Charity Baptist Church in Homer with the Rev. Scott Smith officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m.
