‘Pug’ Peck (3-1-12)

NICHOLSON - Jane "Pug" Elizabeth Holcombe Peck, 49, passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2012.

She was born in Gwinnett County, the daughter of the late John Henry and Janie Lawrence McDaniel Holcombe. She attended New Hope Baptist Church in Nicholson. A sister, Dianne Holcombe, preceded Mrs. Peck in death.

Survivors include her husband, Leland Peck, Nicholson; children, Chuck Cooper, Ooltewah, Tenn., Chad Cooper, Jefferson, Brandy Cooper, Hoschton, Penny Gray, Jefferson; stepson, Jeremy Peck, Nicholson; brother, Terry Holcombe, Gastonia N.C.; sisters, Sharon Davis and Linda Fay Carey, both of Arnoldsville, and Peggy Cooper, Maysville; seven grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Graveside services will be Saturday March 3, at 2 p.m. at Mt. Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Shane Hollis officiating. The family will receive friends after the service.

Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, is in charge of arrangements.
