Doug Faulkner, 59, of Alto, died Sunday, August 31, 2008.
He was born on May 22, 1949, in Habersham County, the son of the late Hix and Beulah Mae Herrin Faulkner. He attended the Holly Springs Baptist Church and was preceded in death by a son, Jason Faulkner; and a brother, Leon Faulkner. He was a friendly and caring person to all that knew him, loved ones stated.
Survivors include his wife, Patti Chastain Faulkner, Alto; mother-in-law and father-in-law, L.M. and Marie Chastain, Mt. Airy; brother and sister-in-law, John Wayne and Linda Faulkner, Cornelia; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Frances and Harry Caudell, Mt. Airy; niece and husband, Robin and Allen Irvin; nephews and wives, Lee and Julie Caudell and Mark and Megan Caudell; great-niece and nephews, Ava Caudell, Thomas Caudell, Andrew Irvin and Austin Irvin.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 2, at 2 p.m., at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, with the Revs. Jerry Buschman and Scott Strickland officiating. Burial will be in the Mud Creek Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, September 1, from 7 to 9 p.m.
