Sarah Mitchell (2-29-12)

COMER - Sarah Catherine Mitchell, 77, died Wednesday, February 29, 2012.

A native of Comer, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Cornelius and Grace Compton Threlkeld. She was a longtime resident of Lawrenceville and has made her home in Comer for the past six years. Mrs. Mitchell was a member of Vineyard Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, James Mitchell; children, Gayle Howard, Bryan Mitchell and Matthew Mitchell, all of Woodstock, and Mark Mitchell, Covington; sister, Norma J. Toth, Comer; brothers, Jim Threlkeld, Comer, and Grady Threlkeld, McDonough; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 3, at 2 p.m. at Vineyard Creek Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, March 2, from 6 to 8 p.m.
