WINTERVILLE - James Donnie Hathcock, 72, died Tuesday, February 28, 2012.
A native of Thomson, he was a resident of this area for many years. Mr. Hathcock was employed with Hamilton's Grocery as a butcher for many years, and more recently with DuPont. He served in the National Guard and was preceded in death by a sister, Beatrice Hathcock.
Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline Hathcock; five sons, Chris Hathcock, Marcus Hathcock, Terry Hathcock, Kelly Hathcock and Samuel Freeman; brother, Chuck Hathcock; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held Friday, March 2, at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Lord & Stephens, EAST with the Rev. Howard Conine officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from noon until service time.
