Joyce Evelyn Hart Martindale, 72, of Royston, died Thursday, August 28, 2008, at the Cobb Memorial Hospital in Royston.
Born in Franklin County on July 4, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Woodrow W. and Ruby Lee Hill Hart. She was a retired textile worker and attended the Grace Baptist Church.
Survivors include brothers, William Edward “Bill” Hart and Wilson K. “Rab” Hart, both of Royston; sisters, Carrie Hart and Linnie Hart, both of Royston, Flora “Fuzzy” Crocker, Hartwell, and Helen Teeple, Ashville, N.C.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 30, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home with the Revs. Andy Huff and Duane Hall officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Royston.
The family will receive friends Friday, August 29, at the funeral home, from 6 to 8 p.m.
