DANIELSVILLE - Hugh "Buddy" James, 66, died Friday, February 24, 2012.
A native and lifelong resident of Madison County, he was the son of the late Clarence and Thelma Christian James. He was a farmer and an automobile mechanic for many years. He was well liked in the community and was a friend to many people. Mr. James was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and brother.
Survivors include his wife, Paulette James; two daughters and sons-in-law, Elaine (Matthew) Carter and Angie (Brian) Fitzpatrick, all of Danielsville; three sisters, Mary James, Marie James and Linda James, all of Hull; brother and sister-in-law, Dennis (Shirley) James, Homer; three grandchildren, David Mills, Amber Fitzpatrick and Bret Fitzpatrick; and one great-grandchild, Bentley Rice.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 28, at 3 p.m. from the chapel of Lord & Stephens, Danielsville. Interment will be in Danielsville Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday, February 27, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to Danielsville Baptist Church or Gideon's International.
