Kay V. Sturkie, 57, of Jefferson, died Tuesday, August 26, 2008.
Born in Waukegan, Ill., she was the daughter of Don and Joan Collins of Dade City, Fla. She was an antique dealer and owned Von Kaylen Antiques.
Survivors in addition to her parents, include her husband, Len Sturkie, Jefferson; sons and daughter-in-law, Brian and Jacki Sturkie, Portland, Ore., and Terry Collins, Wilmington, N.C.; brothers, Michael Hoffstetter, Savannah, Butch Hoffstetter, Lawrenceville, Paul Hoffstetter, Tampa, Fla., and Peter Hoffstetter, Treasure Island, Fla.; sisters, Ellen Larsen and Donna Link, both of Dade City, Fla., Kim Weisgarber, Tampa, Fla.; grandchildren, Steven Sturkie and Olivia Sturkie, both of Portland, Ore.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 30, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home. A Memorial Interment service will be held at a later date. Flowers are greatly appreciated or donations may be made to St. Mary’s Hospice, 1500 Oglethorpe Ave., Suite 200-C, Athens, Ga. 30606.
The family will receive friends Friday, August 29, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
