GAINESVILLE - Lena Mae Scott Grizzle, 81, died Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, following an extended illness.
She was born June 6, 1930 the daughter of the late Charlie Scott and Lucrecia Elizabeth Mitchell Scott. She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church for over 40 years.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, John William Grizzle; daughters, Diann Odom, Blue Ridge, and Patricia Haynie, Bethlehem; daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy Grizzle and Marty Collins, Jefferson, and Marie and Brett Donaldson, Cleveland; granddaughters, Lynda Kay Kimsey, Sheila Lynn Byrd and Amanda Kay Blount; grandsons, Barry Wayne Nix, Billy Dwayne Nix, Stephen Wayne Haynie and Thomas W. Donaldson; 14 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Minnie Lee Carlan, Flowery Branch, Inez Hulsey, Gainesville, Genell Allison, Dahlonega, and Peggy Parker, Cleveland.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, February 17, at Corinth Baptist Church with interment following at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Henry Loggins officiating. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour at Corinth Baptist Church on Friday, February 17.
Memorial Park Funeral Home, Gainesville, is in charge of arrangements.
