Rodney Tomlinson (2-12-12)

CARNESVILLE - Rodney W. Tomlinson, 72, died Sunday, February 12, 2012.

He was the son of Clara H. Tomlinson of Beuna Vista, Va.

Survivors in addition to his mother include his wife Joanne B. Tomlinson, Carnesville; a son, Rodney Wayne (Donna) Tomlinson Jr., English, Ind.; daughter, Lorrie T. (Chris) McDaniel, Winder; step-children, Richard (Lisa) Till, Highland Homes, Ala., Tony (Amy) Tills, Snellville, Cecil Ferrell, Pratsville, Ala., Donnie (Tracie) Ferrell, Jefferson, and April Michelle (Robin) Caver, Billingsley, Ala.; brothers, Garry (Anitta) Tomlinson, Beuna Vista, Va. David (Carol) Tomlinson, Salembury, N.C., Larry (Sandy) Tomlinson, Appomattox, Va., and Keith (Kay) Tomlinson, Lexington, Va.; two sisters, Nancy Plogger, Lexington, Va. and Brenda (Jerry) Entxminger, Lexington, Va.; 21 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 18, from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home in Commerce. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, February 17, from 6 to 9 p.m.

Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
