NICHOLSON - Bessie A. Pittman, 70, died Thursday, February 9, 2012.
A homemaker and devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she will be missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Thomas M. Pittman; daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Rick Krieger, Diane and Gene Komisarow and Denise and Kelly Howard; son and daughter-in-law, Lamar and Vickie Pittman; sisters, Peggy Smith and Dorothy Post; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Buddy Bagwell; brothers and sisters-in-law, Henry and Martha Young and Warren and Janell Young; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service was held Sunday, February 12, in the chapel of A.S. Turner & Sons, with the Rev. Richard Wilkins officiating. Burial was in Crest Lawn Memorial Park in Atlanta, with her grandsons serving as pallbearers.
A.S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory, Decatur, was in charge of arrangements.
