ATHENS - Russell William James, 37, died February 9, 2012.
A native of Athens, he was the son of Elmer and Doris Christian James. Russ was a 1994 graduate of Athens Christian School. He was a loving husband and devoted father. Russ coached youth football at Athens Christian School and little league baseball. He worked with his father at Elmer James Paint and Body for 17 years and was presently employed with Specialty Paint and Body. He was a good Christian man and member of Riverside Baptist Church.
Survivors in addition to his parents include his loving wife, Tiffany Bridges James; children, Dylan James and Bryce James, Athens; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Larry and Veronica Bridges; sister and brother-in-law, Angie and Jimmy Branton; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lara and Charles Sullivan; and niece and nephew, Ashley and Brett Branton.
Funeral services will be Monday, February 13, at 2 p.m. at Riverside Baptist Church with the Revs. Joe Wood and Dennis Nix officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Commercial Bank, PO Box 306, Crawford, GA 30630 for the benefit of Tiffany James and family.
