Mary McCannon (2-10-12)

COLBERT - Mary L. McCannon, 66, died February 10, 2012.

Born in Lagrange, Ind., she was the daughter of the late Allen and Nelia Lawson Collins. Mrs. McCannon was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Annabelle Grace Jordan; brothers, Bob Collins and Raymond Collins; and sisters, Ruby Holcomb and Shirley Duckworth.

Mrs. McCannon was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend and coworker. She was a longtime member of Colbert Baptist Church. Meme's faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ gave her strength and grace during her nine-month battle with cancer. She will be greatly missed by her family, church family and coworkers.

Survivors include her loving husband of 51 years, Rufus "Mac" McCannon; children, Debbie (Marc) Hale, Hull, and Allen (Renee) McCannon, Danielsville; brothers, Donald (Phyliss) Collins, Stroh, Ind., and Lennie (Vanietta) Collins, Carlton; sisters, Judy (Jimmy) Childs, Hull, and Jackie (Steve) Kennedy, Knox, Ind; grandchildren, Kasey (Adam) Jordan, Kaitlyn Hale, Andrew McCannon and Gavin McCannon.

Funeral services were held Sunday, February 12, at Colbert Baptist Church with the Rev. Brad Wilson officiating. Interment was in Colbert Cemetery.
