BRASELTON - R.P. Walls, 91, passed away Thursday February 9, 2012.
He was born in Barrow County on July 20, 1920, the son of the late Ches and Mary Walls. He was a member of the Rockwell Masonic Lodge for 49 years and was of the Baptist denomination. He was a United States Army Veteran, having served in the World War II Infantry.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Vera Dean Walls, Braselton; sons and daughters-in-laws, Robert and Sue Ellen Walls, Buford, Roy and Floriberta Walls, Gainesville; son, James Walls, Oakwood; grandkids, Billy Walls, Janell Roberts, Jason Walls, Christy Wilkerson, Brian Walls, Kimberly Walls and Cody Walls; 26 great-grandkids; and five great-great-grandkids.
Graveside services were held Friday, February 10, at Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Jason Walls officiating.
Ward's Funeral Home, Gainesville, was in charge of arrangements.
