Willie Thomas Graham, 87, of Comer, died Monday, August 25, 2008, at the Cobb Memorial Hospital in Royston.
Born in Elbert County on March 17, 1921, he was the son of the late Leonard and Kanszadic Drake Graham. He was retired from the University of Georgia and was a United States Army Veteran, having served during World War II. Mr. Graham was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Gertrude Coile Graham; and a daughter, Jeanie Graham.
Survivors include sons, Ned and Larry Graham, both of Comer; daughters, Carolyn Bellew and Patsy Crowe, both of Comer; brothers, Hubert Graham, Kannapolis, N.C., and Jim Graham, Comer; sisters, Odie Belle Vinson and Sallie Scoggins, both of Kannapolis, N.C.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 28, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home with the Rev. James Creason and Mr. Odis Graham officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Bowman. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, August 27, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
