DANIELSVILLE – Jessie Addison Daniels, 92, died Friday, February 3, 2012, at the Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens.
He was born in Glascock County on January 1, 1920, the son of the late Ellis and Laverta Kent Daniels. He was an operator with Transco and a member of the New Hope Worship Center. He was a United States Army Veteran, having served in the World War II Infantry. Mr. Daniels was preceded in death by a son, Frank Daniels.
Survivors include his wife, Sara L. Phillips Daniels, Danielsville; sons and daughters-in-law, Harry and Pamela Daniels and Neal and Linda Daniels, all of Danielsville; daughter and son-in-law, Connie and John Certusi, Buford; daughter-in-law, Susan Daniels, Danielsville; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Madgelene Morris, Martinez.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 6, at 2 p.m., in the New Hope Worship Center with the Revs. Dennis Kesler and Mike Spence officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body is at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, February 5. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Monday afternoon. The family is at home.
