COLBERT - Thelma Freeman Morris, 93, died Thursday, February 2, 2012.
Born in Danielsville, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Pearl Long Freeman and was preceded in death by her husband, Allison Morris and grandson, Dennis McCarty. She was retired from Blue Bell Manufacturing and was a longtime member of Colbert First Baptist Church and Saints Alive Senior Group.
Mrs. Morris will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and friend, as well as her love for her church and the Fidelis Sunday School Class.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Alton McCarty; and grandson, Chris McCarty.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 5, at 2 p.m. at Colbert First Baptist Church with the Rev. Brad Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Colbert Cemetery. Mrs. Morris will lie in state from 1:30 until 2:00 p.m.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 6 until 8 p.m.
