Donnie Barrett (2-2-12)

COMMERCE – Donnie Mozelle Phelps Barrett, 80, died Thursday, February 2, 2012, at the Brown Memorial Convalescent Center in Royston.

She was born in Oconee County on July 8, 1931, the daughter of the late Harry H. and Mary Sue Walls Phelps. She was a homemaker and member of the New Hope Worship Center in Danielsville. Mrs. Barrett was preceded in death by a grandson, Shawn Hill; and sister, Annie R. Price.

Survivors include a daughter, Vickey Disharoon, Ila; son, Donald Barrett, Danielsville; sister, Mary Ellen Fowler, Royston; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 5, at 2 p.m., from the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home with the Revs. George Lovely and Dennis Kesler officiating. Burial will be in the Jones Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Danielsville. The body is at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, February 4. The family is at home.
