DANIELSVILLE – Wayne Hix, 86, died Wednesday, February 1, 2012, at the Northridge Health and Rehab Center in Commerce.
Born in Jackson County, he was the son of the late Cammie Lilburn and Roxie Ann Reed Hix. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in Korea. Mr. Hix was preceded in death by his previous wife of 51 years, Grace Stowe Hix.
Survivors include his current wife of 13 years, Mildred Parham Hix, Danielsville; son, Larry Wayne Hix Sr. and Jane, Lilburn; grandchildren, Larry Wayne Hix Jr. and Martin Stanley Hix; sister, Agnes Whitlock and Ernest, Commerce; and a brother-in-law, William Hoyt Stowe Jr., Lilburn.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 3, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with the Rev. Dennis Kesler officiating. Burial will be in the Grey Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, February 2, from 6 to 9 p.m.
Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.

We are so sorry to learn of Wayne's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of loss. He was always very nice to us whenever we visited.
