Sybil K. Wright, 81, of Winder, died Monday, August 25, 2008.
Born in Newton County, she was the daughter of Belle Strickland Tomlin of Winder and the late Rebbie Kitchens. She was a member of Union Baptist Church, was retired from Barrow Manufacturing Company, had worked at Ingles Deli and Russell Nursing Home. Mrs. Wright was preceded in death by her husband, C.J. Wright.
Survivors in addition to her mother, include a son, Tommy Wright, Winder; daughter, Kathleen Parten, Bethlehem; granddaughter, Tambi Mull; and great-grandchildren, Trent and Bailey Mull.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 28, at 3 p.m., at Smith Memory Chapel with the Revs. Jack Segars and Palmer Pace officiating. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Smith Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of arrangements.
