MAYSVILLE – Gladys Juanita Etris, 72, died Wednesday evening, January 25, 2012.
Born in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Jim and Ella Mae Pressley Crane. Mrs. Etris was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Etris; two daughters, Tracey R. Etris and Evette Louisa Etris; and siblings, Bernice Edwards, Bobby Crane and Brodice Crane.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Naja M. and Eddie England, Maysville; grandchildren, Jeremy B. and Melanie England, Joshua Denton and Kristi and Matt Ryczek; great-grandchildren, Shaelyn England, Skylar England, Garrett England, Nayland Ryczek and Nallie Ryczek; siblings, Howard and Polly Sue Crane, Jimmy and Shirley Crane, all of Maysville, Eva and Paul Guidy, Atlanta, Margie and David Drake, Jefferson, and Edgar and Gail Crane, Nevada; and her best friend, Marie Carson, Commerce.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, January 28, at 2 p.m., from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with the Rev. Alex Stevens officiating. Burial will be in the Homer Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, January 27, from 6 to 8 p.m., and at other times at the residence located at 1497 Bob Mann Rd., Maysville.

IT HAS BEEN SO MANY YEARS SINCE I SAW AND TALKED WITH GLADYS. I WILL MISS HER AND ALWAYS BE GRATEFUL THAT WE WERE FRIENDS WHEN WE WERE YOUNG.
