Doris LeCroy Ledford, 70, of Commerce, died Monday, August 25, 2008, at her residence.
Born on July 25, 1938, in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late William David and Vera Ayers LeCroy. She was a receptionist at Roper Pump Company for 30 years and was also employed by Bobby Caudell Tool and Machine. She was a member of the Anchor Church. Mrs. Ledford was preceded in death by a brother, John David LeCroy.
Survivors include her husband, Frank O. Ledford; son, Todd Ledford, Commerce; grandchildren, Drew Ledford, Cole Ledford and Ansley Ledford, all of Commerce; sisters, Noah Anne Smith, Monroe, and Willie V. Ledford, Commerce; her grandchildren’s mother, Lisa Fitzgerald Lewis; and a special friend, Kristy Teague.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 27, at 2 p.m., at Fairview Baptist Church with the Revs. Wendell Hanley and Wes Bonds officiating. Pallbearers will be Drew Ledford, Cole Ledford, Chas Ledford, Greg Ledford, Mitchell Black and George Golston. Burial will be in the Franklin Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, August 26, from 7 to 9 p.m.
