COMMERCE – Barbara J. “Granny” Daniel Sosbee, 71, died Monday, January 23, 2012, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens.
Born in Florida, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Arnette Cole. Mrs. Sosbee was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Sosbee; and a son, Roger Tracy Daniel.
Survivors include children, Craig Daniel, Danielsville, Russell Daniel, Michael Daniel and Christine Daniel, all of Commerce; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 25, at 4 p.m., from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home in Danielsville with the Rev. Bill Manus officiating, after which the body will be cremated. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Ivie Funeral Home, Madison County Chapel, Danielsville, is in charge of arrangements.
