CLEVELAND - Shirley Ann Mumpower, 65, formerly of Gainesville, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2011, following an extended illness.
She was born August 25, 1946 the daughter of the late Thoyce and Opal Allen and was a member of the Redwine United Methodist Church. Mrs. Mumpower was preceded in death by her brother, Phil Allen.
Survivors include husband of 46 years, Jim Mumpower; sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Dawn Mumpower, Flowery Branch, and Jeff and Liz Mumpower, Cleveland; son, Charlie Mumpower, Flowery Branch; and eight grandchildren, Laren, Taylor, Anna, Abby, Kobe, Alena, Alexa and Alec.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 28, at the chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with interment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery. The Revs. Mike Helton and Jeff Garner will officiate. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, December 27, at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.
Memorial Park South Funeral Home, Flowery Branch, is in charge of arrangements.
