HULL - Thomas William "Tommy" James, 59, died Friday, December 23, 2011.
A native of Athens, he was the son of Jessie Mae Kellar James of Hull and the late T.W. James. Since 1972, Tommy was the owner and operator of Tommy James Mobile Home Transport. He also bored wells, owned a mobile home park, wrecker service, worked at Atlanta Gas Light and for John Deere. He loved restoring antiques cars, trucks and John Deere tractors.
Survivors in addition to his mother include two sons, Matthew William James and Lucas Tayler James, both of Hull; step-daughter, Tabatha Graham, Jefferson; brother, Steven Wayne James, Athens; and grandchildren, Leland and Hayden Haley.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 27, at 11 a.m. at Lord & Stephens East Chapel with the Rev. Jonathan Tolbert officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, December 26, at the funeral home.

Tommy James was a fine man did a lot of business with him at my motorcycle repair shop .My prayers go out to the family.

Tommy loved his family and friends. Heartfelt prayers for his family, he will be sorely missed.
