Gladys Moore

Gladys Smith Moore, 94, of Winder, died Sunday, August 24, 2008.

Born in Barrow County, she was the daughter of the late Dave and Abbie Smith. She was retired from Empire Manufacturing Company, was a member of Chapel Christian Church, and had worked at the bakery in Ingles, Holly Hill Cafeteria, and at Smith Funeral Home. Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Moore; brothers, Paris Smith, Delmar Smith, Doyal Smith, D.S. Smith, Buster Smith and Finnie Smith; a sister, Dana Gode.

Survivors include a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 26, at 4 p.m., in the Smith Memory Chapel with the Rev. Jim Stephens officiating. Burial will be at Barrow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday, August 25, at the funeral home from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.
