Mary Seagraves (12-19-11)

COMMERCE - Mary Clyde Seagraves, 79, died Monday, December 19, 2011 at UNI Healthcare.

She was born in Jackson County, the daughter of the late Charlie and Lois Bell Fields Crawford. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Commerce and was the retired owner of Seagraves Sweet Shop. Mrs. Seagraves was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Seagraves; and daughter, Judy Baxter.

Survivors include sons, Stanley Seagraves, Nicholson, and Tim Seagraves, Russellville, Ala.; a brother, Ronnie Crawford, Commerce; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, December 22, at the First United Methodist Church of Commerce with David Bowen and the Rev. Billy Pittman officiating. Interment will follow in New Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, December 21, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 755, Commerce, GA 30529.

Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.

Mary Clyde was such an inspiration to everyone she came in contact with. I will forever love and miss Mary Clyde. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. My thoughts and prayers are with the family! We love all of you!

Mrs Mary was always such a blessing to me. She and Mr Jimmy gave me my first job, taught me to count money and helped to raise me. Judy, Mr.Jimmy and Mrs Mary are all together and we miss you all very much here on earth but we will see you again one day.
