Daniel Christian (12-8-11)

NICHOLSON - Daniel Lee Christian, 53, passed away at Athens Regional Medical Center on Thursday, December 08, 2011.

He was born on June 24, 1958 in Athens, the son of the late Willie Ray and Sara Waggner Christian. He was retired from the University of Georgia after 21 years in the printing department. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather and will always be remembered for his gentle spirit.

Survivors include his wife, Charlene "Tina" Christian; sons and daughters-in-law, Jeremy and Jamie Christian, Keith and Emily Christian, and Chris and fiancé Jessi Christian; brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Lorene Christian, Sam and Phyllis Christian, and Matt and Tina Christian; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sherry and William Pugh, and Belinda and Jimmy Wright; grandchildren, Brian Christian, Breanna Christian, Tylor Christian, Kai Christian, Rylee Christian, Orchid Christian, Liam Christian and Ian Christian.

Funeral services were held Saturday, December 10, with the Rev. Mike Spence officiating, Burial was at Colbert Cemetery.

Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, East, Athens, was in charge of arrangements.
