Tootsie Lay (12-4-11)

WINDER – Tootsie P. Lay, 96, died Sunday, December 4, 2011.

Born in Barrow County, she was the daughter of the late Bert and Ora Brown Patrick. She was a homemaker and a member of the Winder First Baptist Church. Mrs. Lay was preceded in death by her husband, James William Lay.

Survivors include sons, Michael P. Lay, Venice, Fla., and Tony Lay, Atlanta; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 8, at 1 p.m. from the Winder First Baptist Church with John Talley officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 7, at Smith Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m.
