WINDER – Willie “Bill” Brooks, 81, died Saturday, December 3, 2011.
He is survived by wife, Margie Ann Tunnell Brooks, Winder; son, Howard Brooks; son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Cheryl Brooks, Griffin; daughter, Jane Johnson, McDonough; sister, Mary Casper, Winder; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was of the Baptist denomination and a member of Bear Creek First Baptist Church. He was a retired mechanic for Boyd Tire Co.
Funeral services were held Monday, December 5 at Smith Memory Chapel with the Rev. Johnny Wright officiating. Interment followed in Barrow Memorial Gardens.
