Nathan Norton (11-30-11)

DANIELSVILLE – Nathan Norton, 75, died Wednesday morning, November 30, 2011, at Athens Regional Medical Center.

Born in Banks County, he was the son of the late Noah and Belle Savage Norton. He was a semi-retired subcontractor with Alltel, was employed part-time as a caretaker with Rossie Lake Branch Farms in Bishop, and was a veteran of the United States Navy. Mr. Norton was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Norton Jennings.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Amos Norton, Danielsville; a son, Joel Norton, Jefferson; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Memorial services are schedule for Friday, December 2, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home in Danielsville with the Rev. Kevin Purcell officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, December 2, from 1 p.m. until the time of service.
