LOGANVILLE - Edward Dewitt “Jim” Phillips, 84, died Saturday, November 26, 2011.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Grayson and was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn Varner Phillips; and a brother, James Phillips.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Janice Phillips, Loganville; sisters, Dorothy Lou Austin, Commerce, Shirley Royston, Royston; Geraldine Grizzle, Elberton, Patricia Hart, Royston; granddaughters, Leslie Provanchie, Raleigh, N.C., Allison Arnold, Loganville; great-granddaughter, Madison Arnold, Loganville.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 29, in the Loganville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Roper officiating.

Tim Stewart Funeral Home, Loganville, is in charge of arrangements.
