PENDERGRASS - Harold Shaw, 70, died Sunday, November 27, 2011.
Born in Pendergrass, he was the son of the late John Henry Shaw and Vera Mae Maynard Shaw. He was retired after 30 years of service from the General Motors Assembly Plant in Doraville and was a lifelong member of the Walnut Fork Baptist Church in Hoschton. Mr. Shaw was preceded in death by a brother, Randall Shaw.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Virginia Lee Toney Shaw, Pendergrass; sons and daughter-in-law, Brian Shaw, Austin, Texas, Michael and Sherri Shaw, Pendergrass; brothers and sisters-in-law, Durward and Eula Mae Shaw, Gainesville, W.F. and Pat Shaw, Hoschton, Kenneth Shaw, Pendergrass; sisters and brothers-in-law, Vera Dean and Gordon Wetherford, Pendergrass, Kay and David Gearin, Braselton, Marilyn Carlyle, Pendergrass; sister-in-law, Ann Shaw, Pendergrass; grandchildren, Dylan and Savannah Shaw, Pendergrass.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with the Rev. Todd Coble officiating. The burial will follow in the Walnut Fork Baptist Church Cemetery with Lewis Pittman, Danny Collins, Jack Collins, Bill Collins, Tom Collins and Rick Collins honored as pallbearers. The visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Flowers are optional with memorials to the Walnut Fork Baptist Church, 557 Highway 60, Hoschton, GA 30548.
