Juanita Twiggs

Juanita Joyce Nix Twiggs, 54, of Gillsville, died Wednesday, August 20, 2008, at her residence, following an extended illness.

She was born in Hall County, the daughter of Pearl Sutton Nix of Gainesville and the late B.A. Nix. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors in addition to her mother, include her husband, Lynn Twiggs, Gillsville; daughters, Misty Marie Twiggs and Malena Twiggs, both of Gillsville; grandson, Caleb Twiggs, Gillsville; brothers, Ray Nix, Oakwood, David Nix and Michael Nix, both of Gainesville, and Jimmy Underwood, Cleveland; sister, Janet Gee, Oakwood; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 23, at 4 p.m., in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Revs. Brian Malcomb and Clack Stubbs officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, August 21, from 6 to 9 p.m. and Friday, August 22, at the funeral home.

Memorial Park Funeral Home, Gainesville, is in charge of arrangements.
