HOSCHTON - Margaret Dorothy Hadley, 82, died Sunday, November 27, 2011.
She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., the daughter of the late Harry and Helen Arnesen Lewis. She was a homemaker who liked to crotchet and read the Daily Bread everyday. Mrs. Hadley was a life member of the Women of the Moose and was active in the Senior Club in Staten Island, N.Y. Mrs. Hadley was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Hadley; stepdaughter, Marion Walden; brother, Frank Lewis; sister, Florence Brates; and sister-in-law, Doris Graham.
Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Barbara and Billy Glasby and Joan Burch, all of Hoschton; granddaughters: Cheryl Iski, Hoschton, Jennifer (Ricky) Myrick, Lawrenceville, Mark (Jessica) Glasby, Portland, Ore.; and great-grandchildren, Christopher Aden Myrick and Hana Glasby.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 30, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with the Rev. Lewis Ortiz officiating. Burial will follow in the Evans Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 29, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
