Evelyn “Gail” Cash Ussery, 62, of Maysville/Commerce, died Sunday, November 27, 2011 at St. Mary’s Hospice House following a brief illness.
She was born in Jackson County, the daughter of Faye Cash of Maysville and the late Ralph Cash. She was a member of the Maysville Baptist Church. Mrs. Ussery was preceded in death by a sister, Shelby Cash McGahee; and brother, Stanley E. Cash.
Survivors in addition to her mother, include son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Nada Morris, Commerce; grandson, Jake Morris; sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Jimmy Prickett, Commerce; niece, Ashley Bond, Commerce; special great-niece, Ava Bond; special great-nephews, Jace and Collin Veal; and a number of other nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends and family in lieu of a funeral service at the home of her sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Jimmy Prickett, 394 Lakeview Drive, Commerce, on Tuesday, November 29, beginning at 2 p.m.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the St. Mary’s Hospice House, P.O. Box 6588, Athens, GA 30604, or a local Humane Society.
Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, is in charge of arrangements.
