JEFFERSON - Henry Clay Fears, Jr., 71, died Saturday, November 26, 2011 in Athens, following a brief illness.
Born in Atlanta, he was the son of the late Henry Clay Fears, Sr. and Frances Horton Fears. He was retired from AT&T as a Network Planner with over 30 years of service. Mr. Fears was a member of the Centreville United Methodist Church in Centreville, Virginia.
Survivors include his daughter, Becky Fleming, Marietta; son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Debbie Fears, Fleming Island, Fla.; companion for over 20 years, Martha Davis, Jefferson; adopted children, Ron and Kim Reed; grandchildren, Jessica and Alyssa Fears and Ryan and Sydney Fleming; and adopted grandchildren, Rainey and Aaron Reed; and a number of other relatives.
Memorial services were held Sunday Nov. 27, at Evans Funeral Home Chapel.
