COMMERCE – Curtis Roger Eubanks, 90, died Monday, November 28, 2011, at Northridge Medical Center in Commerce.
Born in Banks County, he was the son of the late Jesse Cornelius and Ertie Virginia Barnett Eubanks. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in World War II. Mr. Eubanks was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Yarbrough.
Survivors include his wife, Blanche Neisler Eubanks, Commerce; a son, Bobby (Sandra) Yarbrough Sr., Danielsville; grandchildren, Bobby (Kelly) Yarbrough Jr., Jeremy (Angie) Sexton, Kasie Brown (Alan), Courtney (Luke) Coile; great-grandchildren, Brooke Yarbrough, Walt Yarbrough, Jared Sexton, Jenna Sexton, Austin Brown, Abbi Brown; sisters, Guynelle Otting, Baldwin, and Ollie Mae Lewis, Commerce.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 30, at 2 p.m. from the Madison St. Baptist Church in Commerce with the Rev. David Harbin and Jim Waller officiating. Burial will be in the Grey Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, November 29, from 6 to 8 p.m. The body will lie in state at the church Wednesday from 1:30 until the time of service.
