POCATALIGO - Eula Mae Chatham Adams, 72, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2011.
She was the daughter of Morris and Lucille B. Chatham of Hartwell. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Bill Chatham, Jimmy Chatham, and Stewart Chatham of Hartwell; two sisters Cuemi Hart and Maryetta Chatham of Hartwell.
Mae was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed life even through her 12-year battle with kidney failure and weekly dialysis treatments. Even though her journey has ended here on Earth, her life in Heaven has just begun. We will always cherish the memories and the time we were able to spend with her. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Adams, Pocataligo; three children, Brian (Jeannie) Adams, Bowman, Wesley (Kathy) Adams, Lawrenceville, and Sheila Adams, Pocataligo; three grandchildren, Brandi Adams of Pocataligo, Courtney and Kayla Adams of Bowman; sisters, Marian Sanders, Hartwell, Emma Christian, Anderson, S.C., Dianne (Jimmy) Wilson and Cathy (Wayne) Alewine, all of Hartwell; brother, George (Marsha) Chatham, Hartwell; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 26, from Lord & Stephens Danielsville Chapel with the Rev. Lonnie Bennett officiating. Burial was at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Travis Adams, Tony Jordan, Craig Faulkner, Tim Shields, Hall Norton, and James Strickland.
