COMMERCE - Willard Sanders Allen, 93, died Thursday, November 24, 2011 at his residence.

He was born in Banks County, the son of the late William Beecher and Eula Sanders Allen. He was a member of Webbs Creek Baptist Church and was a United States Navy Veteran of World War II. Mr. Allen was retired from Blue Bell.

Survivors include his wife, Allie Hill Allen, Commerce; sons, Billy Allen, Commerce, and Roger Allen, Conyers; brother, Fred Allen, Commerce; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 26, at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. Swayne Carlan officiating. Interment will follow in Webbs Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, November 25, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce is in charge of arrangements.
