Mae Gaddis (11-4-11)

DANIELSVILLE – Mae Sue Strickland Gaddis, 79, died Friday, November 4, 2011, at her residence.

She was born in Madison County on February 18, 1932, and was the daughter of the late Jasper and Myrtie Bridges Strickland. She was retired from the Madison County School System where she was a cafeteria worker and a school bus aide. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mrs. Gaddis was preceded in death by her husband, John Isom Gaddis.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Johnnie and Sammy Duncan, Hull, Bonnie and Bobby Patrick, Danielsville; sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy and Sarah Gaddis, Danielsville, Larry and Ginger Gaddis, Watkinsville; six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday, November 6, at the Friendship Baptist Church with the Rev. Robbie Brown officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, was in charge of arrangements.
