‘Robby’ Skinner (11-8-11)

JEFFERSON - Robert Nelson “Robbie” Skinner, 62, died Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at his residence following a period of declining health.

He was born May 5, 1949 in Clarke County, the son of Merita Rowden Skinner of Winder and the late Bobby Nelson Skinner. He was a heavy equipment operator with Puckett Paving Company for many years. Mr. Skinner loved fishing and the outdoors.

Survivors in addition to his mother include his wife, Frances Skinner, Jefferson; son, Bobby Skinner, Jefferson; sisters, Jackie Wall and Dee Ann Finch, all of Winder; brothers, Phil Skinner, Barry Skinner, and Danny Skinner, all of Winder; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday Nov. 11, at 2 p.m. at Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Terry Hagwood officiating. Interment will be at Revival Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 10, from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, is in charge of arrangements.
