GAINESVILLE - Christopher “Chris” Harper, 25, died Saturday, November 5, 2011 in Lincolnton, N.C. following a sudden illness.
Chris was a graduate of Gainesville High School and was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. He was owner and operator of Harper’s Overhead Garage Doors.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Carroll B. Jones; and paternal grandparents, Edwin E. and Nettie Harper.
Survivors include his parents, Micheal and Brenda Harper; brother, Johnny Harper; nephew, Micheal Harper; and maternal grandmother, Betty Jean Martin, all of Gainesville; Fiance', Crystal Norman, Lincolnton, N.C.; and several aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 10, from the chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with interment following in Memorial Park South Cemetery. The Rev. Steve Stewart will officiate.
Memorial Park South Funeral Home, Flowery Branch, is in charge of arrangements.
