Dorothy Hart (11-6-11)

ROYSTON – Dorothy Lou Hart, 84, died peacefully Sunday, November 6, 2011, at the Cobb Memorial Hospital in Royston.

Miss Hart was born at the home place in the Sandy Cross Community on July 19, 1927, the daughter of the late Roy W. and Vallie Phillips Hart. She was a homemaker and known for her excellent food. She loved to cook, bake and garden. Dorothy was always happy. Miss Hart was preceded in death by a brother, Doyle T. Hart; and sister, Donnie Hart Johnson.

Survivors include a sister-in-law, Louise S. Hart, Royston; nieces and spouses, Leslie and Randy Fordham, Danielsville, and Kay and Bill Seagraves, Hull; nephews and spouses, Bradley and Susan Hart, Eddie and Ann Johnson, and Jackie Johnson, all of Royston; and a host of great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, November 9, at 11 a.m., from the Zidon Baptist Church Cemetery beside her father and mother with the Rev. Grady Jordan officiating. The body is at the funeral home where the family will receive friends Tuesday, November 8, from 6 to 8 p.m. The family is at their respective homes.
