Sara Annette Bellamy Wood, 72, of Watkinsville, died Sunday, August 17, 2008.
A native of Homer, she was the daughter of the late Ace and Rose Bellamy, and was a longtime member of East Athens Baptist Church. Mrs. Wood was preceded in death by her husband, George Carlton “Stick” Wood Sr.
Survivors include children, George C. Wood Jr., Decatur, Janet Tabor, Stockbridge, and Olin and Vicki Wood, Watkinsville; grandchildren, Brittany Wood, Jamie Wood and Morgan Wood; and one great-grandchild, Caiden.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 20, at 3 p.m., at East Athens Baptist Church with the Revs. Ray Wuerzer, Don Fuller and Bob Nash officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 19, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
